Abstract

  The study shed light on the concept of hypnosis and its authority in proving crimes as one of the new pieces of evidence. Hypnosis constitutes a state of abnormal sleep that affects the faculties of the apparent mind through suggestion. Experiments have proven that hypnosis is a remarkable success in the field of treating psychological and neurological diseases, in contrast to the field of investigating and proving crimes. Because hypnosis constitutes aggression, coercion, and a violation of the privacy and psychology of the person subject to it, the majority of scholars are of the opinion that it is illegal to use hypnosis in the field of proving crimes.
