Abstract

This research aims to mention a number of comments by Ibn Hisham al-Ansari on the interpreters al-Tabari and Ibn Atiyah.

 This research follows the inductive and analytical approaches, This research done by extrapolating the issues in which Ibn Hisham differed from the commentators in some linguistic issues related to interpretation, studying them, and balancing the opinions of al-Tabari, Ibn Attiya, and Ibn Hisham through the opinions of interpretation scholars.

The two researchers weighed between the opinions, taking into account the strength of the evidence.

This research concludes a number of results:

 First: The research showed Ibn Hisham’s interest in the books of interpretation and his extensive knowledge of them.

Second: Al-Tabari did not mention a reason for the verse of the Almighty’s saying: (No, by the moon) as Ibn Hisham based his opinion on it, and Al-Tabari reported is as an interpretive narration, and it doesn’t match the causes of revelation.
