Abstract

Women's inheritance in Islam is one of the important issues that affects reality, and some people either out of ignorance or stubbornness tend to understand that the man in Islam always takes precedence over the woman, and that the man takes double or multiples of what the woman takes in inheritance, but the reality is otherwise. In fact, a woman may inherit more than a man. In fact, she sometimes inherits many times more, and she may even withhold a man from the inheritance with a deprivation [Hajib Hirman], so he does not inherit with her at all.

Hence, this study came to cover the topic of a woman withholding from a man the inheritance of the deceased, withholding deprivation [Hajib Hirman], withholding deficiency [Hejib Neqis], or withholding subsumption [Hejib Istighraaq].

The reader will see - Allah Almighty willing - in this research the conditions and issues in which a woman veils a man from the deceased’s estate. We will find that the woman has a clear role in inheritance and Allah has given her right. She inherits as a daughter, as a son’s daughter, as a mother, as a grandmother, as a sister of all kinds, and as a wife as well. All these women share in withholding the man from inheritance, and some of them do not waive the issue at all, while many men do. All of this will appear to the reader, in this research
