Abstract

The science of readings is one of the greatest sciences in terms of value and status, as its types vary between frequent, famous, and irregular readings, in addition to interpretive reading. Scholars were interested in recording these types in their books of interpretation, relying on what they mentioned about the Companions - may God be pleased with them - and they interpreted many texts. The Holy Qur’an, and this reading has many diverse benefits. Hence the research came under the title: “Benefits of expository reading.”

The research highlights the importance of interpretive reading as a main tool for clarifying and understanding the Holy Qur’an. The research has reached important results, including that interpretive reading is used to weight the meanings of frequent readings, and that one of the benefits of interpretive readings is the clarification of jurisprudential rulings.
