Abstract

Summary

The verse of ablution in the Book of Purification by Al-Mawsili in his book  Al-Ikhtiyar

The ablution verse is considered one of the comprehensive verses in explaining the obligations of ablution, its contradictions, and the rulings on washing and its obligations. Therefore, Imam al-Mawsili began mentioning it at the beginning of the Book of Purification.

The researchers chose the noble verse to be the focus of their study because of its comprehensiveness and plurality. The researchers dealt with the provisions contained in the verse in an original and interpretive study.

The researchers used the inductive approach in the book Purity in the Book of Al-Ikhtiyar, and the analytical approach to collect jurisprudential statements from their contexts in the majority of books, and to explain what is supported by the Hanafi school of thought in them, without addressing the disagreement except what the author has exposed, showing the fundamental aspect of the issue, then the interpretive aspect and the jurisprudential structure resulting from them.  .

The research concluded with results and recommendations, the most important of which are that the pillars of ablution according to the Hanafi school are four, and the elbows are included in the obligation of washing, and that continuity and arrangement are Sunnah, and that an impure exterior nullifies ablution, and rinsing the mouth and sniffing the nose are obligatory in washing, and the source of the disagreement in the issues of ablution is a fundamental disagreement.
