ABSTRACT

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds, and blessings and peace be upon the Prophet Muhammad.

This research paper aims to study the jurisprudential controls that influence the chapter on water in the Maliki school of thought. It seeks to highlight the jurisprudential controls derived, extracted, and disseminated in the chapter on water in purification. The study begins by mentioning the context of the control in Maliki jurisprudence books, then explaining its general meaning, and finally providing evidence and applications of the control, along with any exceptions, through major Maliki jurisprudence books.

The study consists of two main sections:

1. The first section defines jurisprudential controls, explains the differences between them and rules, defines jurisprudence, and mentions the most important Maliki works on jurisprudential controls and rules.
2. The second section discusses jurisprudential controls in the chapter on water, where five controls were found in this chapter.
