Abstract

The topic of this research report is make the reader aware about the Spiritual guidance and religious support for the dying person and his near ones in the light of Sunnah of the noble Prophet peace be upon him.

It's a medical term which refers to the procedures of alleviating the distress of patients nearing death and the agony of people around him seeing their loved one leaving them and passing away.

This research deals with carefully analyzing this subject and studying the rulings on this topic from the biography of the prophet Muhammad peace be upon him and collecting his relevant sayings regarding the same and therefore deriving rulings of its applications and thereby justifying the title of this research report.

And I’ve concluded in my report the importance of palliating patients on their death beds as per the prophetic guidance and also easing pain of the ones surrounding them. Verily the prophetic guidance plays a great role in relieving their pain, preserving their dignity, improving communication with them  as per the principles of faith, complete practicality and creation of a secure environment for them like its demonstration in seerah of the prophet peace be upon him regarding the surrounding of the patients. Herein I’ve placed advices and guidelines in dealing with them and reducing their sufferance.

The researcher emphasizes on the necessity on the scientific cooperation between people who are employed in care like nurses and doctors and specialists in Islamic Studies, especially in Analytical Biography of the Prophet peace be upon him.
