Training needs for e-teaching skills among science teachers from their point of view in Jordan Summary

Abstract

This study aimed to reveal the training needs of e-teaching skills among science teachers from their point of view in Jordan. The study adopted the descriptive survey approach, and to achieve the objectives of the study, (120) science teachers were selected out of (546) in a simple random way .The researchers prepared a questionnaire for the training needs of e-teaching skills among science teachers, consisting of (67) items. The researchers verified the validity and stability of the study tool .The results of the study showed that the training needs of e-teaching skills among science teachers were average .Moreover, the results showed that there were statistically significant differences at the level of significance (a = 0.05) for the training needs of e-teaching skills attributed to the employer and in favor of private schools . In addition , the results showed that there were statistically significant differences at the level of significance

 (a = 0.05) for the training needs of e-teaching skills attributed to years of experience and in favor of experienced teachers (more than 5 years).The researchers recommended adoption  of training programs that aimed at developing the e-teaching skills of science teachers.
