A proposed conception of the Utilizing of social networking sites in empowering women with disabilities from an Islamic perspective

The aim of this research is to design a proposed conception of the Utilizing of social networking sites in the social and economic empowerment of disabled women from an Islamic perspective. The study sample consisted of (88) women with disabilities, (44) with physical and health disabilities, (31) with hearing disabilities, and (13) with visual disabilities, Descriptive survey methodology was adopted in the study. The researchers prepared questionnaires to measure the Utilizing of social networking websites in the social and economic empowerment of women with disabilities, attitudes (52) items, validity and reliability were confirmed. The researchers also prepared a proposed conception of the Utilizing of social networking sites in empowering women with disabilities from an Islamic perspective in light of the demands and features of this group. The outcomes of this research indicated that the arithmetic means of the Utilizing of social networking sites in empowering women with disabilities came to a medium degree on the total degree and the dimensions of social and economic empowerment, and also indicated that there were no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α = 0.05) in the field of economic empowerment. Moreover, the total degree of the Utilizing of social networking sites in empowering women with disabilities is due to the type of disability, and there are statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α = 0.05) in the field of social empowerment due to the type of disability in favor of those with hearing disabilities. The recommendation of the study is to disseminate the Islamic vision in preserving the rights and empowerment of women with disabilities, and the adoption by official authorities of the proposed vision to activate the Utilizing of social networking sites in the social and economic empowerment of women with disabilities.
