Abstract

This analytical study aims to show the intellectual and cultural manifestations in the novel “Mohal” by the writer and novelist Youssef Zaidan. Terrorism, atonement, jihad, and the social image that stems from an intellectual and psychological reality represents the image of the eastern society in Egypt and Sudan.

Perhaps this intellectual and social juxtaposition and linking it to the principle of causation will appear to us clearly in the vocabulary of this novel's creative approach " Mohal ", as the researcher traces the eastern vision and its contradictions with the image of women and their manifestations in the vocabulary of this novel, the focus of study.
