Emotional blackmail and its relationship to sleep disorders among female students of The World Islamic Sciences & Education University.

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the level of emotional blackmail and sleep disorders among female students of the World Islamic Sciences & Education University, and to identify the nature of the relationship between emotional blackmail and sleep disorders, and to detect differences in the levels of emotional blackmail and sleep disorders based on variables (specialization, academic level, and social status), To achieve the objectives of the study, a purposive sample of (272) female students from the Faculty of Educational Sciences at the World Islamic Sciences & Education University was selected, and tools with acceptable psychometric characteristics were developed. The results of the study showed that the level of both emotional blackmail and sleep disorders was low, and there was a statistically significant direct relationship between emotional blackmail and sleep disorders. The correlation value was (378.0), and the results showed that there were no statistically significant differences due to the effect of specialization, academic level, and marital status in each of emotional blackmail and sleep disorders.
