The impact of teaching according to the strategy of multiple Building an educational program based on Appleton's model and measuring its impact on acquiring self-learning skills for tenth grade female students

Abstract:

The study aimed to reveal the construction of an educational program based on the Appleton model and measure its impact on the acquisition of self-learning skills among tenth grade students. To achieve this, the researchers followed the experimental approach with a semi-experimental design. The number of study participants was (60) female students from the tenth grade, (30) female students for the experimental group. And (30) female students for the control group. Al-Qadisiyah Secondary School in the Marka District in the Capital Governorate, Amman, was chosen intentionally during the academic year 2022/2023. The applications were distributed randomly to the two study groups, and the experimental group was taught according to the educational program based on the Appleton model for a period of three weeks, and then the study tool was applied.  The study tool was a questionnaire to measure self-learning, and it consisted of five skills: planning for self-learning, research skill, critical thinking skill, writing and recording skill, evaluation skill, The results of the study showed that there were statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental group and the mean scores of the control group in a questionnaire in favor of the experimental group .In light of this, the study recommended several recommendations, the most important of which is the establishment of workshops for mathematics teachers, introducing them to the Appleton model, and teaching them to explain lessons in accordance with the Appleton model and its stages.
