The Quality Level of the Specialized Knowledge Competencies Matrix for Islamic Studies Teacher’s Job from his point of view in Jordan.

Abstract

This study aims at identifying the specialized knowledge competencies matrix for Islamic Studies teacher’s job from his point of view. The descriptive- analytical approach is used. The study sample consists of (46) teachers - (17) male and (29) female - who teach Islamic Studies in Basic and Secondary Schools-. Those teachers are randomly selected from Zarqa First Directorate of Education in the Second Semester of the Academic Year 2022-2023.A questionnaire of (30) items is prepared to measure all that represents the specialized knowledge competencies of the subject teachers. Questionnaire items cover six domains with (5) items to every domain. The six domains are as follows: the Holy Qur'an & its Sciences, Prophet Hadith & its Sciences, Islamic Creed, Biography of the Prophet, Islamic Jurisprudence (Fiqh), Islamic System, and Islamic Ethics. The study results illustrate that the specialized knowledge competencies matrix for Islamic Studies teacher’s subject manner is high. Moreover, the study does not show any statistical significance attributed to gender.
