Children's attitudes toward the family environment and its relationship to juveniles' appreciation of desire in juvenile education homes in Jordan.

     This study aimed to identify the relationship between children's attitudes toward the family environment and self-esteem among juveniles in juvenile rearing homes, reveal the relationship between attitudes toward the family environment and self-esteem, and identify the differences between attitudes toward the family environment and self-esteem due to the gender variable. To achieve the objectives of the study, a purposive sample consisting of (288) juveniles of both sexes (267) males (21) females was drawn in juvenile rearing homes supervised by the Ministry of Social Development in Jordan. They number five. To achieve the purposes of the study, a measure of children’s attitudes towards the family environment was used. And self-esteem after ensuring the validity and reliability of the measures. The results of the study showed that there is a statistically significant direct relationship between children’s attitudes toward the family environment and self-esteem among juvenile children. The study also showed an average level of children’s attitudes toward the family environment and self-esteem among juvenile children. There are also statistically significant differences attributed to the gender variable in favor of males in After management and organization on the attitudes scale, there are no statistically significant differences on the self-esteem scale due to the gender variable.
