Solidarity and its role in textual cohesion - Muhammad Al-Thubaiti model
Abstract
This study aimed to highlight the manifestations of cohesion and its
role in textual cohesion in the poetry of Muhammad Al-Thubaiti, as textual
cohesion is considered within the linguistics of text that seeks to study
texts and explore the characteristics of their internal structures, the
rhetoric of their cohesion, and the aesthetics of the harmony of their
elements, because textual cohesion expresses the cohesion between text
units. Through a set of relationships that link the text to each other; until it
becomes a single unit that carries its own characteristics that distinguish it
from other texts. The coherence contributes to the cohesion and
interconnectedness of the text, and the relationship occurs through the
occurrence of a pair of words linked by a lexical relationship, such as
counterpoint, part to whole, and whole to part. In the introduction, the
researcher discussed textual cohesion: its concept and levels. In the first
section, she talked about the concept of cohesion linguistically and
terminologically, and talked about its divisions. In the second section,
