The Origins of Desciptive Approach as Opposed to the Syntactic Complexity: Applied Models

Abstract

The researcher seeks to explain the role of the descriptive approach in getting rid of the syntactic complexity which is based on interpretations, explanations and hypotheses by applying its principles to a number of syntactic issues. The researcher also tries to show the impact of these hypotheses on the syntactic complexity. Further, the research began with a brief overview of the descriptive approach, its origins and rules followed by a brief explanation of the concept of the standard approach, its origins and rules. Finally, the researcher investigates a number of syntactic issues highlighting the impact of interpretations, explanations and syntactic hypotheses on the complexity of syntax emphasizing the principles of the descriptive approach to exclude these hypotheses from the study of syntax.
