Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to explore the psychological and behavioral effects of viewing war victims through social media, considering gender and age as variables. The research follows a descriptive-analytical approach using social survey methodology. The study sample included (375) male and female students from private schools in the University District, Amman. For the study, a specific tool comprising (20) items was developed to measure psychological and behavioral effects. The study results revealed a generally high level of psychological effects among the sampled students, while the overall level of behavioral effects was moderate. The study found no significant differences in psychological and behavioral effects attributed to age and gender variables. Based on the results, recommendations related to the study's topic were formulated.
