أثر استخدام الإشراف التربوي التطوري في تحسين الممارسات الإدارية لمديري المدارس الثانوية الحكومية في محافظة العاصمة- عمان/الأردن

Abstract

This study aimed at identifying the effect of applying educational developmental supervision in improving the management practices of high school principals in Amman Educational Governorate compared with the traditional supervision. To achieve this purpose, an instrument of 40 items, distributed into five domains: planning, organization, activities, community services and evaluation, was developed. The reliability and validity of the instrument were assured. The instrument was applied on the sample of the study, which consisted of (61) male and female principles selected randomly during the academic year 2017/2018, and assigned randomly into two groups: experimental group which consisted of (32) subjects and a control group which consisted of (29) subjects. The quasi-experiment study lasted for one semester.  The data was collected and analyzed using means, standard deviation and t-test and three-way ANOVA techniques. The study showed that the educational developmental supervision was more effective in improving the administrative practices of the sample of the study than the traditional supervision in the whole of the instrument as well as in its domains with high significant level (p<0.001).

 The study also revealed that there were no statistical differences in the degree of the educational supervisors’ estimation for improving the administrative practices due to the level of principles’ qualifications or due to their level of experiences. In the light of the results of the study, a number of related recommendations were suggested
