Predictive Ability of Fear of Happiness and Nostology with Depressive Symptoms of Psychiatric Clinics Visitors in Irbid Governorate

Abstract

 

     The study aimed to identify the levels of the fear of happiness, nostalgia and depressive symptoms of psychiatric clinics in Jordan, as well as the predictive ability of fear of happiness and nostalgia with depressive symptoms, The sample of the study consisted of 100 Individuals diagnosed with depression and reviewing psychiatric clinics in Arbid governorate. The sample was selected in an accessible manner. In order to achieve the purposes of the study, a measure of fear of happiness and nostalgia was used and a measure of depression was developed, and their vatidity and reliability were assured    .The Results showed that the means of fear of happiness and depression symptoms were average level, there is a high and positive significant relationship Among the changes of fear of happiness, nostalgia and symptoms of depression in the psychiatric clinics in Jordan,. that (47%) of the discrepancy in depressive symptoms can be explained by happiness and nostalgia variables coming together. The findings showed that there were no statistically significant differences in the level of fear of happiness depending on the variable sex and scientific qualification, and that there were no statistically significant differences in the level of nostalgia depending on the variable sex and scientific qualification, and no statistically significant differences in the level of depression depending on the variable sex and scientific qualification.
