Dogmatism and its relationship with feelings of guilt among mothers of children with disabilities in Amman

Abstract

The study aimed to identify dogmatism and its relationship to feelings of guilt among mothers of children with disabilities in Amman. The descriptive correlational approach was used because it is the most appropriate approach for the nature of the current study and its objectives. The study scales were applied to an available sample of (102) mothers of children with disabilities. The results showed that the level of dogmatism was average. While the level of feelings of guilt was low. There was a positive relationship between dogmatism and feelings of guilt. There were no statistically significant differences at the significance level (α=0.5) in both dogmatism and feelings of guilt attributed to the type of disability, as the value of F reached (1.512) is a statistically insignificant value at the significance level (α=0.5). The study recommends conducting comparative studies between mothers and fathers on dogmatism and feelings of guilt.
