Abstract

Abstract:

This study aimed to identify the level of emotional intelligence, calling and burnout among  Social Entrepreneurs and Social Sector Workers in the Arab World and to know whether there is a relationship between emotional intelligence, calling and burnout among them, as well as to discover the role of emotional intelligence as an inter Mediating Variable  between calling and burnout among them. The study follows the descriptive correlational approach, and the study sample consisted of (141) Social Entrepreneurs and Social Sector Workers in the Arab World. To achieve the study objectives, the emotional intelligence, burnout, and inner calling scales were developed and their validity and reliability were verified.

The results of the study showed that the level of both emotional intelligence and calling was high, while the level of burnout was low. It also indicated that there was a direct relationship statistically significant between emotional intelligence and calling, and an inverse relationship statistically significant between burnout and both emotional intelligence and calling. The results also indicated that there was a inter mediation of emotional intelligence between burnout and calling, and it was a complete inter mediation.  The study recommends providing preventive and therapeutic programmes for Social Entrepreneurs and Social Sector Workers in the Arab World linked to the study variables.
