This study reveals a stylistic feature of the poet Rizkallah Hassoun in his collection “I Feel Poetry,” which is his use of the verbs of fear, destruction, devastation, affliction, and disappointment, as an attempt to employ these verbs in the part related to Job’s (Ayoub) journey, his suffering, and his patience, which at the same time reveals the poet’s psychology and his turbulent life.
This study followed the descriptive analytical approach in tracking these verbs and studying them from the linguistic and grammatical aspects in the “Book of Job” from the Diwan (Collection) according to the following central ideas:
The first studied verbs indicating fear, the second was concerned with verbs indicating destruction, ruin, and affliction, and the third clarified the verbs indicating the actions that indicate betrayal. This was preceded by an introduction that introduced us to the poet “Rizkallah Hassoun” and his poetry collection.
