Attitudes of Trainees Counselors at the Jordanian Universities Towards Online Counseling During the Corona Pandemic

Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate of the attitudes of trainees' counselors towards the use of Online Counseling in their training places during the Corona pandemic, according to the variables of the place of training and GPA. The study sample comprised of (166) trainee counselor from four Jordanian universities. For the study purpose, the researchers developed a rating scale of online counseling attitudes (31) items. The questionnaire showed accepted psychometric properties indicators. The results of the study showed that the attitudes towards the use of Online Counseling in a medium level. There are no significant differences in the level of attitudes towards the use of Online Counseling, based on the place of training and GPA. The study recommends that Jordanian universities should include in their psychological counseling programs courses and trainings on online counseling, its techniques and forms.
