The current study aimed to identify the degree of awareness of members of Jordanian society about indicators indicating psychological disorders, and their relationship to the level of social acceptance of those affected. The study used the descriptive, correlational approach, and to collect data, two scales were developed, namely: a scale of indicators indicating psychological disorders consisting of (30) items distributed over Two dimensions: the first is the dimension of indicators indicating psychotic disorders, and the second is the dimension of indicators indicating neurotic (environmental) disorders. The social acceptance scale consists of (36) items, distributed over four dimensions: They are: friendship relationship, marriage acceptance, work relationship, and neighborhood relationship. The validity and reliability of the two scales was confirmed. They were applied to a sample consisting of (383) individuals from the Jordanian community in the University District in the capital Amman Governorate. The results of the study showed that the responses of the study sample It agreed to a moderate degree on the degree of awareness of indicators indicating psychological disorders, and on the social acceptance scale, and there were no statistically significant differences in the degree of awareness of members of Jordanian society about indicators indicating psychological disorders due to the variables of gender, marital status, and monthly income in Jordanian dinars, and the presence of statistically significant differences. In the age variable, for the benefit of (51 years and over), There were no statistically significant differences in the degree of social acceptance of those affected due to the variables of gender, marital status, monthly income in Jordanian dinars, and age. One of the most prominent recommendations reached was directing health and psychological care providers in Jordan to provide greater support related to psychological disorders to members of Jordanian society
