Abstract

Objective: The aim of the research was to discover the predictive ability of psychological wellbeing of the addiction to electronic games among the Bachelor's students in Jordan universities in the north. Methodology: The research sample consisted of (481) Bachelor's students in Jordan universities, who were chosen by the simple random sample method. To achieve the aim of the research, the researcher used the wellbeing scale of Rayff and the Lemmens scale for addiction to electronic games. The research was based on the descriptive predictive approach. The data were analyzed by calculating standard deviations, arithmetic means, and multiple linear regression analysis (Stepwise). Results: The research results showed that the level of psychological well-being among Bachelor’s students in Jordanian universities is average, and that their addiction to electronic games is low. The results indicated that there is a predictive ability for two dimensions: autonomy and positive relation with others in predicting video game addiction.
