: ABSTRACT
This study examines the argumentative relations in the poetry of Taj al-Muluk Buri ibn Ayyub, identifying five primary types of argumentative relations in his work: sequential, causal, implicative, contrastive, and correlative.
The study concludes that the poet employed these five relations with varying degrees of emphasis. The sequential and causal relations were the most frequently used, while the correlative relation was the least present. This deployment was closely tied to the poet’s persuasive and rhetorical intent. Furthermore, a clear connection is observed between the argumentative structures and the thematic concerns in his poetry
