ABSTRACT

This study aims to shed light on the reality of teaching the Arabic language in general, and teaching it to non-native speakers in China for trade and business purposes in particular, focusing on the problems and difficulties facing this field. It seeks to clarify the concept of trade and business and its relationship with other fields, in addition to facilitating the learning of Arabic for this purpose by designing study units that meet the learners' needs. The study adopts the descriptive-analytical approach in applying research tools.

The results highlighted the growing importance of teaching Arabic to non-native speakers for specific purposes, especially in the Chinese context, where trade and economic cooperation between China and Arab countries is witnessing remarkable growth. The study showed that teaching Arabic for trade and business purposes requires specialized teaching strategies that take into account the learners' needs and the professional environment in which they will use the language. This study seeks to design a specialized course in teaching Arabic for trade and business purposes, combining basic language skills and commercial content.

The study presents an integrated teaching framework that can be adopted as a reference for developing Arabic courses for specific purposes, with a focus on developing communication skills and functional language that Chinese students need in the Arab business environment.
