This study investigates the scenic portrayal in Jordanian poetry (2000–2024) as a fundamental structural transformation in Jordanian poetic expression, one that is grounded in integrating visual and dramatic sensibilities in shaping the scene within the text. The researcher adopted a descriptive–analytical approach to examine the scenic portrayal through selected examples from contemporary Jordanian poetry. The study is organized into three sections: the descriptive portrayal, which relies on a precise vision of details; the narrative portrayal, which introduces movement and time into the structure of the poem; and the dialogic portrayal, which grants the text multiple voices and a dramatic framework. The study concludes that the scenic portrayal—in its three forms—has become a central structure that transforms the poem into a living scene and endows it with an intensified visual–dramatic character that contributes to renewing poetic expression and shaping its contemporary vision.
