The Impact of Academic Instructor’s key Project Management Competencies on Course Evaluation via the mediating role of Instructor’s Emotional Intelligence (EI)

Improving course experience for undergraduate students is a basic requirement for universities to cope with the needs of the emerging era. This paper studies the impact of Instructor’s project management (PM) competencies on student’s Course Evaluation (CE) with the instructor’s Emotional Intelligence (EI) utilized as a mediator in public Jordanian Universities. A questionnaire-based survey was used to collect data. 414 valid responses were collected for statistical analysis. SmartPLS 3 software was used to analyze data and achieve paper’s objectives. The results of the study indicate that instructor’s PM competencies affect the student’s course evaluation through the mediating effect of instructor’s Emotional Intelligence (EI).This study contributes by introducing new factors (instructor’s PM competencies and EI) that influence the whole educational process. Educational institutes Management must be aware of the importance of such factors, and by recognizing their value they can further seek to improve their instructors’ competencies and eventually the overall organization’s competitive advantage
