Abstract

This study aimed to identify the impact of financial technology applications in their dimensions (transformation to banking services provided without bank branches, real-time monitoring of transactions and credit, credit rating and approval) on competitive priorities in terms of their dimensions in Jordanian commercial banks. The study used the analytical descriptive approach, and the study used the questionnaire for all the data, and the study community consisted of (13) Jordanian commercial banks, and the study sample consisted of all workers in the higher administrative positions in these banks, whose number was (457) workers. The researcher selected a random sample of them, consisting of (119) workers, to whom the questionnaire was distributed. Of these, (103) questionnaires were retrieved, with a response rate of (86.55%).

            The study found a high general arithmetic mean evaluation of financial technology applications, and mediated the general arithmetic mean evaluation of competitive priorities. With regard to the hypotheses of the study, the results indicated that there is an impact of financial technology applications in their dimensions (the shift to banking services provided without bank branches, real-time monitoring of transactions and credit, credit rating and approval) on the competitive priorities in Jordanian commercial banks, as well as the presence of an impact of financial technology applications Its dimensions are on every dimension of competitive priorities. Based on the results, the study recommended the necessity of conducting a continuous evaluation of innovations and transformations in the financial technology revolution, because emerging technologies, re-engineered and new processes, and products and services that carry value are subject to continuous development, as well as conducting similar studies from the point of view of customers.
