Knowledge management and its impact on constructing high-performance organizations: an applied study on the Jordanian companies for human pharmaceutical industry

Abstract

This study aimed at identifying knowledge management and its impact on constructing high-performance organizations: an applied study to the Jordanian companies for human pharmaceutical industry. In order to achieve the study objectives، a questionnaire was developed to collect data. The study sample consisted of (managers، their deputies and assistants، and the heads of departments) working in the Jordanian companies for pharmaceutical industry enlisted in Amman stock exchange with a total of (180) individuals chosen through comprehensive survey. (SPSS. 17) was used to calculate the means، standard deviations، and multiple-way variance analysis، in addition to descriptive and dedicative statistics.

The results revealed that the respondents' perception towards the level of knowledge management in the Jordanian companies for human pharmaceutical industry was high. The results also showed that there is a statistically significant impact for knowledge management on constructing high-performance organizations in the Jordanian companies for human pharmaceutical industry; indicating that there is a positive relationship between knowledge management and constructing high-performance organizations in the Jordanian companies for human pharmaceutical industry.

The study recommended the necessity of establishing an independent management in the companies under study، under the title (knowledge management) that appear in the organizational structure، where its task is related to establishing، sharing، storing، utilizing and assessing knowledge، in addition to the constant enhancement ، for the role of companies in constructing high-performance organizations.
