The Degree of Using the Virtual Lab by Science Teachers and its Relation to the Logical Thinking Skills among their Students

Abstract

This study aimed to know the degree of using the virtual laboratory by science teachers and its relationship to the logical thinking skills of  their students in private schools in the Qweismeh district. It adopted the descriptive correlative approach.  The study population consisted all the seventh grade science teachers in private schools in the Qweismeh area and their students. The study sample was consisted of (60) teachers who answered the questionnaire which was prepared to collect data about the virtual laboratory, and (902) of the seventh grade students who answered the test which was designed to measure their logical thinking skills. The results of the study showed that the degree of science teachers who use the virtual laboratory was high . and the level of logical thinking skills of the study sample was great .results showed that there was a statistically significant correlation between the degree of science teachers' use of the virtual laboratory and the level of their students’ logical thinking skills, and this confirms the existence of a relationship between using virtual laboratory and the logical thinking skills among studentsThe study recommended to use  the virtual laboratory in teaching scientific experiments because of its impact on improving the quality of science education outcomes, in addition to inform teachers about the importance of using the virtual laboratory and its relationship to the logical thinking skills of their students .
