The Effectiveness of Group Counseling Program Based on Selective Theory in Improving Mental Health Among a Sample of Divorced Mothers in Jordan

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the impact of the effectiveness of a group counseling program based on selective theory in improving the mental health among a sample of divorced mothers in Jordan. mental health for the purposes of this study.

The results of the study showed that there were statistically significant differences at the significance level (∝ = .050) between the mean scores of the experimental and control group members on the mental health scale in all dimensions and in the total score in favor of the experimental group. The results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences (α=0.05) between the mean scores of divorced mothers in Jordan on the mental health scale in the two post-traumatic applications in all dimensions and in the total score.

The study's recommendation was to provide psychological counseling services to divorced mothers in order to improve their level of mental health.
