Scale Construction Occupational Obstacles that hinder the Empowerment of Women Working in the Public and Private Sectors in Jerash Governorate "Field Study"

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the nature of Scale construction occupational obstacles that hinder the empowerment of women working in the public and private sectors in Jerash Governorate through a field study conducted on female employees in both sectors. To achieve the study's objectives, a descriptive-analytical approach was used, with a questionnaire as a research tool. The study sample consisted of (137) working women selected through a non-probabilistic convenient sampling method. The results showed that institutional and administrative obstacles, as well as social obstacles, were high with average scores of (3.849) and (3.831), respectively. Personal obstacles were of moderate level with a average score of (3.501). The results also indicated statistically significant differences in institutional and administrative obstacles based on variables such as (age and educational level) in favor of those aged (40) and above and those with higher education. There were also statistically significant differences in social obstacles based on (age and place of residence) in favor of those aged (40) and above and residents of rural fields. Based on the results, several recommendations related to the study's topic were formulated.
