Psychiatric of the Adaptive Behavior Assessment System - Third Edition ABAS:3 (Teacher Form) for Individuals with Intellectual Disability and Autism Spectrum Disorder Aged )5-21) Years Old in Jordan

Abstract

The study aimed to examine the psychometric properties of the Standardization of the Adaptive Behavior Assessment System - Third Edition ABAS:3 (Teacher Form), for people with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorder, aged (5-21) years, in the Jordanian environment. The study sample consisted of (1045) male and female participants, who were randomly selected from those with intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and normal students, aged (5-21). The researcher employed a descriptive-analytical approach to achieve the study's objective. To verify the validity indications, the following methods were used (content validity, construct validity, concurrent validity, discriminant validity), To verify the reliability indications of the Jordanian version of the Standardization of the Adaptive Behavior Assessment System - Third Edition ABAS:3 (Teacher Form), the following methods were used: (retest reliability, split-half reliability, and Cronbach's alpha method), The results showed that the Jordanian version of the Standardization of the Adaptive Behavior Assessment System - Third Edition ABAS:3  (Teacher Form), is efficient. In terms of validity and reliability, which makes it suitable for application, the study recommended that care institutions, schools, individuals, researchers, and those interested in using the Jordanian version of the Adaptive Behavior Assessment System Scale, third version (Teacher Form).
