The Role of Human Resource Diversity Management to Enhance Organizational Commitment: An Applied Study on Private Hospitals in Jordan

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the role of human resource diversity management to enhance the organizational commitment. Analytical Descriptive Approach was used in this study the population of the study consisted of (16832) employees of private hospitals in Jordan. The simple random sampling approach was used, and it consisted of (399) employees. A questionnaire was developed as a tool to collect the study data, after verifying validity and reliability. The main findings of the study are the followings: - The existence of an average understanding and application of the management of private hospitals to manage the diversity of human resources in all its dimensions, that the level of organizational commitment for workers in private hospitals was average, and the results indicated the existence of an impact of managing the diversity of human resources with its dimensions on organizational commitment in all its emotional, continuity, and normative dimensions, and the presence of related differences Statistical significance in the level of organizational commitment attributed to the variable of sex, which was in favor of males, and to the variable of job title, which was in favor of an administrative title. There are no differences due to the variables of age, educational qualification, and number of years of service. The study recommended the formulation of policies by senior management that would support diversity management, and the appointment of qualified and trained persons to work on managing diversity of human resources.
